Danica McKellar, 46, has traded the big city for rural Tennessee
Danica McKellar decided to trade her small yard in Los Angeles for multiple acres in Tennessee.
The 46-year-old Wonder Years alum, who has lived in L.A. since she was seven, recently told People she wanted her life to look more like some of the characters she plays on screen.
‘I am just loving the fact that my Christmas movie characters have rubbed off on me,’ she said.

‘I think it’s just a wonderful example of life imitating art,’ said the Hallmark movie star who has appeared in seven of their Christmas films.
This past summer, the actress and her family moved to a spot nearly an hour outside Nashville.
The mother-of-two, who was ready for a slower pace and more space, considers her rural homestead in Tennessee a significant upgrade.

Danica married husband Scott Sveslosky in 2014. He is a dad to one son, Hunter, from a previous relationship. She also has a 10-year-old son Draco with her ex husband Michael Verta.
The couple has a history in the area as they spent time together nearby in Kentucky early in their relationship when she was on set.
The move has provided a much-needed change for the couple.
‘My husband and I have been wanting more nature for a long time,’ she said.
She added, ‘We were kind of ready to not be in a city anymore.’
Earlier this week, Chris Evans discussed that he had a celebrity crush on Danica after being crowned People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2022.
The Captain America star got candid with his fans about a few of his favorites saying, ‘maybe [Danica McKellar’s Wonder Years character] Winnie Cooper, maybe Elisabeth Shue, maybe [Soleil Moon Frye’s character] Punky Brewster,’ the 41-year-old told PEOPLE.

McKellar was drawn to the Tennessee spot because of its ties to music and entertainment.
‘Memphis and Nashville are both entertainment cities. They’re known for music.’

McKellar’s favorite thing about her new house is that it does not need to be refurbished.

She is, however, building a full kitchen on the bottom floor for her mother.
Mckellar considers the move a significant upgrade as she has gone from having a small yard in L.A. to multiple acres of maple trees that turn shades of ‘gold and pink and orange and red.’
Danica is also a math whiz and has authored six non-fiction books, all mathematics-related.
Danica next stars in Christmas at the Drive-In, which is scheduled for release November 25.
