Neymar’s second-half goal at Almeria this weekend may have helped keep his team within one spot of leaders Real Madrid in Spain’s La Liga standings, but many of his fans aren’t very happy. Why? While people are angry over Neymar’s locks, though, it looks like his team is proud. Barcelona FC posted a close-up photo of the interesting trim on their Instagram account on Monday morning.

Neymar’s tresses fare a little better on this medium, but this photo, too, has attracted some criticism.

“Not even a blend or fade,” Instagram user Naima_Ak writes, accompanied by two sad faces.

“No words for this…” Manahilmasud writes.

“He needs to fire his barber,” Lalin__Garcia chimes in, with an emoji of someone crying waterfall tears. (Obviously!)

Poor Neymar, where’s the love?! Shouldn’t being La Liga’s second-leading goal scorer this season be enough? Does he really need to have perfect hair, too?

Thankfully, not all his fan’s only care about his looks.

And while this would be a perfectly fine stopping point to a ridiculous article about Neymar’s hair that perhaps should’ve never been written in the first place, let’s entertain one more thought. Is Neymar’s current hairdo better or worse than his last controversial coif? Let’s never forget the frosted tips he wore during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil?
